How to Install ODBC Connector
This help guide will walk you through the process of installing the ODBC Connector to allow your client to connect to the SQL Server. This process is only applicable to SQL versions of the Promoserve Software.
*You must be logged in to the system with Administrative Privileges before performing this task.
- Download the file linked HERE. *THIS LINKS TO AN EXTERNAL WEBSITE THAT IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH CUSTOMER FOCUS. (mysql-connector-odbc-5.1.10-win32.msi)
- Double click on the file and select the next button.
- Select ‘I accept the terms in the licence agreement’ if you agree to the terms of the licence agreement (this is required to proceed).
- Select the Complete option and then click on Next.
- Select the Install option.
- You may have to select Yes to allow the program to run when the Windows warning appears. After the install has finished, select the Finish option.
- After the installation, navigate to the folder located at C:WindowsSysWOW64 and double click on the odbcad32.exe.
- Navigate to the System DSN tab and click on the Add button.
- Navigate to the MySQL ODBC 5.1 Driver option, highlight it and click on Finish.
- Fill out your SQL information and select OK to save. If you are unsure of your SQL information, contact the Support team who will be happy to provide this.
Your machine will now be connected to the SQL server database allowing your Promoserve system to connect.
