How to Edit Your Website Title and Meta Description

Step 1: First log into your Customer Focus website site manager (was Trade Only STORE).

The Site name is what's going to appear on your home page, where you see "Welcome to AIM Smarter Help".

The Site title is the most important field here. This is what's going to appear in your website browser, and is one of the key elements looked at by the search engines to determine what you do.

Optimal Length for Search Engines

Google typically displays the first 50-60 characters of a title tag, or as many characters as will fit into a 512-pixel display. If you keep your titles under 55 characters, you can expect at least 95% of your titles to display properly.

The Meta description is the paragraph of text that appears underneath your website in search engine results. It doesn't have any impact on search engine ranking but it is worth writing something inventive and engaging about your company here, as it may be the difference between clicking on your website and a competitor's.

The Default meta keywords are not used by many search engines any more, but it's worth filling them in just to be on the safe side. This should be a collection of key words and phrases that relate to your business separated by a comma.
