Product Option Matrix

The Product Option Matrix allows you to options (e.g. sizes or colours) to a master product so that multiple sub-products can be added to a sales order in one step with additional costs grouped together. This is controlled at category level and using the Codes & Phrases routine.

 

STEP 1

Log in as the super user pixhallcsl

STEP 2

Go to System functions > Routine Set Up

 

 

STEP 3

Double click on quotations

 

 

STEP 4

 

Click on Program settings and ensure the option for “Show option product selection screen when inserting” is marked as Yes.

 

 

STEP 5

Identify the category number you wish to add options to e.g. 550 Shirts, you can find this in System Personalisation > Categories.

 

STEP 6

Go to System Personalisation > Codes & Phrases

 

 

STEP 7

Click the blue + button (bottom right) and add a code with the following settings:

Click the blue tick to save the code

 

STEP 9

Click the blue + button and add a second code with the following settings. The category number you want to add the options to should go in the description box and the product options you want available should go in the Notes/Text field separated by commas. Click the blue tick to save these options.

 

STEP 10

Go to Catalogue & Inventory >Catalogues & Products, click the blue + to add a new product.

 

 

STEP 11

Enter the master product (e.g. plain stock or no size) code you wish to add in the Catalogue Ref field and the name of the product in the Description field.

 

 

STEP 12

Fill in the product information you require for the master product ensure the product is in the category you added this facility to in step 6.

 

 

STEP 13

Click the blue tick to save the product, a popup will appear to add the relevant product options, select the sizes or colours you added in step 6.

 

STEP 14

Once you have selected your sizes or colours, choose Yes to create product options, this will create sub-products attached to the master product.

 

 

STEP 15

Test the feature by adding the new master product to a quote. Go to Quotes & Opportunities, click the blue + and enter the master product code you added this feature to in step 7. When this product is selected you will be given the option to add the size or colour options you added in the setup. Enter the options you require and tick Quote as selected above.

 

 

 

STEP 16

When you are ready, raise the sales order and purchase order.

STEP 17

The purchase order now includes a line for the decorator to show the quantities and options to be decorated.
