Transfer to Carrier

PromoServe has the ability to transfer desptch details to carrier standalone PCs. This is available for the following carrier systems:
- Business Post IConsign application
- DHL Standalone PC consignment system
- UPS Standalone PC consignment system
- Parcel Force web tracking system
Instructions for use
For each Sales Order whcih requires despatching via the chosen carrier.
- Navigate to Sales Orders -> Warehouse & Despatch
- Double-click on the required Sales Order
- Enter the number of packages to be shipped and choose the courier from the dropdown list.
- Click "Confirm despatch" button at bottom left of screen
- Navigate to Sales Orders -> Transfer to Carrier
- Choose the required carrier from the list and filtering data range if required
- Click the large blue arrow pointing right to proceed
Output
This procedure creates a CSV file of despatches which match the chosen criteria in the format expected by the carrier system. The carrier system can be configured to import this file and create consignment numbers/tickets.
Importing Consignment numbers into PromoServe
This is available for the following courier systems:
- Business Post IConsign application
- UPS Standalone PC consignment system
NB the PC on which the carrier system resides must be configured to act as an ftp server or be mapped as a network drive. The carrier system exports a csv file of consignment numbers. This file can be imported in PromoServe using the following procedure.
- Navigate to "Get Product Data"
- Use the Configure option to show the following screen

- Set the ftp details to point to the location where the carrier system has placed the CSV file.
- Manually execute this service when required or set up a windows scheduled task to run this automatically.
